Darren Bailey

Darrens passion for music started at an early age from rummaging in record bins for Acid House at the age of 8, spending hours frequenting record shops all over the UK to endless weekends spent at some of the biggest UK clubs including Cream and Sankeys. Darren used this time to hone his ear for the biggest dancefloor destroying beats and observing what made the most up for it crowds tick. Inspired it was from these experiences he took to the turntables at 17 honing his craft and drawing from his influences through the trance era from the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Sasha to the later techno/tech house maestros James Zabiela and KiNK. He has concentrated on what he does best…getting the crowd moving! His energetic style with doses of house techno and anything in between secured residencies at clubs around the north of the UK. This laid the foundations for what he brings to Auckland as co-founder of Burnout Music Events NZ which brings a massive slice of the atmosphere and energy that is mainly found around Europe’s biggest clubs to multiple venues around the city. Darren’s energy behind the decks transpires through the music he plays giving him the reputation of a party starter!
